DAYTON — UPDATE @ 4:25 p.m. (June 12):
A body found in the Great Miami River Tuesday has been identified as Beverly J. Ellington, according to the Montgomery County Coroner Kent Harshbarger.
Ellington, 76, was the subject of a Missing Endangered Adult Alert issued early Wednesday afternoon.
She was last seen on Monday after she left her Huber Heights home around noon.
No foul play is suspected at this time, according to Dayton police.
Her body was found along the west bank of the river, downstream from a low dam.
Police are continuing to investigate how she ended up in the river.

Dayton police confirm a body has been recovered from the Great Miami River after officers first received the report earlier Tuesday morning.

Multiple Dayton police officers are investigating reports of a body in the Great Miami River near the Island MetroPark, according to dispatch records.
Officers received a call around 9:15 a.m. that a body was possibly in the river near the 900 block of Riverside Drive, according to records.
Our crew on the scene reports at least 20 Dayton police cruisers are at the scene.
