Pickup truck smashes into pole in Darke County

NEAVE TWP., Darke County — A pickup truck smashed into a utility pole Monday night, bringing down power lines.

A medical helicopter was called for the driver, who was the only person in the pickup, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened sometime after 7:45 p.m. at state Route 121 and Preble County Butler Twp. Road.

The driver’s condition was not immediately known.
