CLARK COUNTY — An OVI checkpoint took place in Clark County Friday night.

The checkpoint started at 8:00 p.m. on E. Leffel Lane between Burnett Road and Progressive Road in Springfield Township.
According to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, they had 76 vehicles pass through the checkpoint.
Two drivers were arrested for OVI and a felony amount of marijuana was located in one of those vehicles.
A third driver was arrested for driving without a valid license and possessing an open container.

On average 20,000 OVI arrests are made each year by State troopers in an attempt to combat these dangerous drivers.
