Vehicle in Huber Heights chase may have been used in breaking and entering

HUBER HEIGHTS — UPDATE @ 6 p.m.:

A 17-year-old boy appeared in Montgomery County Juvenile Court stemming from a police chase in a stolen vehicle.

He entered a plea of denial to each charge of assault, failure to comply, receiving stolen property and resisting arrest and was ordered to be detained in juvenile detention.

He next is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 2.

UPDATE @ 10:21 a.m .:

A vehicle involved in a Huber Heights police chase was stolen and may have been used in a breaking and entering, according to police.

During the Monday morning chase, officers were able to get the license plate number and confirmed the vehicle was reported stolen out of Trotwood.

Further investigation revealed that the vehicle may have been involved in a West Carrollton breaking and entering as well, according to police.

Dayton police and a Riverside K-9 assisted Huber Heights in arresting the driver after pursuit ended and three people bailed from the vehicle.

The driver was taken to Grandview Medical Center with a minor injury before being taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.

At least three occupants reportedly bailed from a vehicle after a pursuit with Huber Heights police ended in Dayton Monday morning.

Initial reports indicate the pursuit started on Old Troy Pike and Needmore Road in Riverside and entered the city of Dayton before ending in the area of Gettysburg Avenue and Oakridge Drive around 3:15 a.m.

The occupants, reportedly all males, fled on foot once the vehicle stopped.

Speeds were reported to have reached up to 100 mph during the pursuit, according to emergency scanner traffic.

A K-9 was called to assists authorities in their search for the subjects.
