UPDATE @ 5:54 p.m.: A motorcyclist was hurt this afternoon when he was ejected during a crash.
The man, whose name was not released, was traveling west on Research Boulevard at 4:35 p.m. when he went off the right side of the road near College Drive, according to Kettering police.
A group of motorcycle riders traveling in the opposite direction stopped to help after they saw the man thrown from his bike in the crash.
The motorcycle rider suffered potentially serious head injuries and was taken to Kettering Medical Center, police said.
Alcohol and drugs are not factors in the accident, but police are still investigating whether speed played a role.

At least one person has been taken to the hospital following a motorcycle crash.
The accident involving a motorcyclist was reported just after 4:30 p.m. today near the intersection of Research Boulevard and College Drive, which is just west of Woodman Drive.
