Miamisburg man accused of sexually abusing 4th child, other victims still possible

MIAMISBURG — A Miamisburg man previously indicted on charges accusing him of sexually abusing three girls is now accused of additional crimes involving a fourth victim, the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Scott E. Pate, 54, was indicted on 23 felony charges last month, including rape of a child younger than 10, gross sexual imposition of a victim younger than 13 and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.

Today, a grand jury indicted him on four additional counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor after it was learned Pate was accused of sexually abusing the fourth victim in 2004.

“Investigators believe that this defendant may have committed sex offenses on additional victims and are asking that anyone who may have information contact Detective Michael Aiken of the Miamisburg Police Department at 937‐847‐6621,” the prosecutor’s office said.

Additionally, specifications on the original indictment have been added, where if convicted as charged, Pate would spend the rest of his life in prison.

Pate is in custody and is scheduled for trial July 29.
