Kentucky man ID’d as worker killed after falling through roof at athletic center

BATH TWP., GREENE COUNTY — The victim of a deadly workplace accident at the Edge Athletic Center has been identified as Adam Van Arsdall, 50, from Kentucky, according to Greene County Sheriff Gene Fischer.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the center at 5410 Intrastate Drive, east of Fairborn, on reports of a person who fell from a sky-lift Wednesday morning.

Shortly after, the Greene County Coroner's Office confirmed they too were responding to the scene.

Arsdall’s cause of death is still pending autopsy but appears to have been accidental, Fischer said.

Arsdall fell through a skylight in the roof of the Edge Athletic Center on Intrastate Drive in Bath Twp. just before 9 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
