A man who stabbed his mother in the head with a screwdriver has been found not guilty of attempted murder, according to court documents.

On Monday, Jason McInturff, 39, of Dayton was found not guilty by reason of insanity for the attempted murder of his mother in November of 2014.

McInturff was indicted by a grand jury in December of 2014 on three counts of attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault and one count of tampering with evidence.

Court documents reveal McInturff will be committed to Summit Behavioral Healthcare in Cincinnati where he has undergone past treatment for the crime.
