Man accused of performing sex act while woman does yard work

HARRISON TWP. — A Harrison Twp. man is facing a misdemeanor charge of public indecency after he was accused of performing a sex act on himself, while allegedly playing porn with “very loud audio” in view of a neighbor doing yard work, according to a sheriff’s office report.

Andrew Chaffin, 27, was ordered to appear in court Wednesday on the public indecency charge, court records showed.

According to the report, Chaffin was at his home in the first block of Winnet Drive on May 2 when the alleged offense occurred.

The neighbor told deputies “throughout the evening she was attempting to get yard work done,” when “she began to hear very loud noises.” When the neighbor looked toward the house where the noises were coming from, she saw Chaffin allegedly performing a sex act in front of the window, the report read.

The neighbor said she went inside her house, but could still hear what sounded like pornography coming from Chaffin’s home.  The neighbor “returned back outside three to four times and each time the male moved back toward the window (performing the sex act) while looking in her direction,” the report read.

The neighbor recorded Chaffin allegedly performing the sex act, which was collected as evidence in the case, according to the report.
