Mad River Mountain plans grand opening, reservations required this year

The Mad River Mountain Ski Resort is planning its grand opening to take place Dec. 19th and has already implemented precautions to guarantee the safety of guests, such as requiring reservations.

According to the Mad River Mountain’s website, the reservation system has been set in place to prioritize passholders over other interested visitors and limit ticket sales for the lift.

Along with requiring reservations, the resort is also asking guests to wear face coverings at all times in areas such as lines, chairlifts, gondolas, or whenever social distancing is not possible on the mountain.

The resort is also encouraging guests to pay online in advance, because cashless transactions will be utilized on the mountain in areas such as its hotels and restaurants.
