Governor Mike DeWine signed a health order Wednesday pushing back the statewide curfew one hour, to 11 p.m.
These new hours begin Thursday, January 28, at noon and lasts through February 11.
The change comes as Ohio hospitalizations have remained below 3,500 for seven consecutive days.
The OHA reported 2,944 active hospitalizations Wednesday, which marks the seventh straight day the state has been below 3,500 active hospitalizations.
>> DeWine sets guidelines to relax statewide curfew as hospitalizations drop
Gov. Mike DeWine announced new guidance Tuesday that will be used to scale back the statewide curfew that has been in place since the holiday season. DeWine said seven days of hospitalizations being below 3,500 cases for seven straight days would trigger the state to move the curfew to 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for at least two weeks. It’s been at 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. since it was first announced.
If the hospitalizations across the state drop below 3,000 hospitalizations for seven consecutive days, DeWine said the curfew will be moved back to 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. for at least two weeks. The state has met that threshold for two days straight this week.
The curfew will be eliminated if the state can drop below 2,500 hospitalizations for seven consecutive days.
