The kitten was stuck 4 feet inside of an outside drain pipe under the deck, according to a Facebook post from the Bellbrook Police Department.

One of the police department’s newest officers, Kevin Long, was imperative to the rescue. He was able to use a snare tool and some “fishing technique” to save the kitten.

“The kitten is A-OK,” said Bellbrook Police.

Each of the kids at the scene also got a certificate to the Dairy Shed for a free ice cream.
