KETTERING — The Kettering Fire Department marked 100 years of service to the community over the weekend.
The celebration included a bit of past and present.
From a horse drawn antique fire cart to a brand new fire truck on display.

“I really appreciate the members that made this organization what it is, 100 years of fire protection in any community’s a long time. This department’s transitioned in a lot of different ways, but we want to recognize where we came from, our past, and how everyone worked together to get it to where it is today,” Fire Chief Mitch Robbins said.
Throughout the year the City of Kettering has been sharing nostalgic photos of parades, fire stations and engines of years past on social media.
