ARCANUM, Ohio — Students from Arcanum High School spent the morning helping those who live in the community.
For 10 years, Serve Arcanum has been giving high school students the opportunity to serve in the community. They’ve completed more than 650 projects over the years such as painting and landscaping.

This year, about 275 students spent the morning serving the community. Senior Caden Thompson missed out on this project his freshman year because of COVID, but he was glad that he was given the experience now.
“It just feels so good that people appreciate what we do for them,” Thompson said.
Jason Stephan, high school principal said, “This is one of our opportunities during the school year to go out and help our community; to serve our community and say thank you for all the support they give to us.
Stephan said they want their students to graduate with an idea of what service is and this is one way they do it.
