They also told News Center 7’s Malik Patterson that they had plans if they won.

TRENDING STORIES:

Patterson said the thing he heard was paying off debt. A woman was excited about her chances of winning.

“Do you play often or only when it gets this high?” he asked Dorothy Weatherspoon.

“Only when it gets this high,” she answered.

Weatherspoon said she has a list of things she would do if she won the Powerball. It would start with her church.

“I would buy a better building,” she told Patterson. “I got three kids. I will make them millionaires. See, I’m retired, so I can just chill now.”

Patterson also spoke with the store manager.

Jackie Porter said they have their regulars. But when it reaches $1 billion, they get busier.

“It’s steadier, steadier, steadier, with a couple of little spurts here and there,” she told Patterson.

Porter said they love working with first-time players.

“We try to educate them, and hopeful that they come back and visit,” she explained.

Weatherspoon told Patterson that if she wins, she will take the lump sum.

She also has several things on her bucket list.

“I’m 79. So, hey, I got to enjoy that money. I’m going, I’m going to Egypt,” said Weatherspoon. “I’m going to see the pyramids. I want to see the pyramids.”

The winning numbers are 11, 23, 44, 61, 62. The Powerball number is 17, and the Powerplay plus number is 2.

We will continue to update this developing story.
