One dead after shots fired at Speedway in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD — One person was killed after shots were fired in Springfield Friday night.

Dispatch confirmed that officers responded to a shots fired call at the Speedway on North Limestone Street at 10:45 p.m. One person was pronounced dead on scene.

One person was also transported to a local hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.

An investigation is underway. We will update this story when more details are released.
