"In the Springfield City School District, the safety of our students is always top priority.

Springfield High School was not on a secured facility status at any time today. All students were safe and classes conducted as usual.

We are aware that social media posts were perpetuating false rumors. Lead Principal, Patrick Smith, called parents to ensure them of their student's safety.
