DAYTON — A person is dead after a fiery crash in Dayton on Saturday morning.

The call came out at 7:08 a.m. near the intersection of Webster Street and East Third Street, according to a Montgomery County Regional dispatch supervisor.

News Center 7 crews on scene saw one vehicle that had crashed into the bridge at Webster Street and East Third.
The car was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived, according to Sergeant Gordon Cairns with the Dayton Police Department.
The male driver, who has yet to be identified, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle, according to Cairns.
Investigators with the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene shortly after 9 a.m.
Cairns told News Center 7 that they believe speed to be a factor.
The Dayton Police Department is asking for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have video of the crash to contact them at 937-333-1149 or submit an anonymous tip at 937-222-STOP (7867).
