Car vs. train crash under investigation near Troy

MIAMI COUNTY — Crews are on scene with a car that was struck by a train on West Rusk Road north of Troy Thursday morning.

The crash was reported at the railroad crossing on West Rusk Road east of Piqua Troy Road around 5 a.m. Thursday.

Initial reports indicate that a woman was trapped inside the vehicle after it was hit by the train. The condition of the victim was not immediately known however initial reports indicate she was alert and talking with police when the arrived on scene.

The car was pushed around 100 or 300 feet north of the West Rusk Road crossing.
