A 24-year-old Lynchburg man was killed today in a fiery rollover crash along Ohio 73.
Kyle R. Pitzer was traveling west on Ohio 73 around 1 p.m. when he drove off the right side of the roadway at a curve. Pitzer's 2005 Hyundai Sonata struck a concrete culvert and a tree before overturning and catching fire, according to the Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Pitzer was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Coroner's Office. The single-vehicle crash happened just west of Milepost 21, according to troopers.
Alcohol was not believed to be a factor, according to troopers. The crash remains under investigation, and troopers are urging any witnesses to the crash or those who may have information about the crash to call (937) 382-2551.
Also responding to the crash were the Clinton/Highland District 6 Fire & EMS, Clinton County Sheriff's Office and Ohio Department of Transportation.
