DeWine set to announce new Wellness Workforce Expansion today

COLUMBUS — Today, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services Director Lori Criss, and Ohio Department of Higher Education Chancellor Randy Gardner will join to discuss recruitment strategies for increasing the behavioral health workforce.

In the last several years, the demand for mental health and addiction services has increased significantly, according to a release.

Close to 2.4 million Ohioans live in a community that does not have enough behavioral health providers.

The Wellness Workforce Expansion announcement meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. this morning.
