MIAMI COUNTY — UPDATE: 10:40 a.m.
One person was taken to the hospital after a crash in Miami County Thursday morning.
Crews were called to respond to a crash in the 5900 block of West SR-55 shortly after 8:30 a.m.
According to Lt. Chris Bobb with the Miami County Sheriff’s Office, a black pickup truck was heading eastbound on SR-55 when the driver ran off of the side of the road and ended up in a ditch on it’s side. It is currently being investigated why the driver went off the road, but a possible medical issue is suspected.
The driver of the vehicle was temporarily trapped in the vehicle, Bobb said. He was later transported to an area hospital.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.

Deputies are on scene of a reported rollover crash in Miami County.
Miami County dispatch confirmed crews were on scene of a crash in the 5900 block of West SR-55. The crash was reported shortly after 8:30 a.m.
Dispatch was unable to confirm if anyone has been taken to the hospital.
