Ohio’s Vax-2-School drawings set for today; winners to be announced next week

The first drawing for Ohio’s Vax-2-School program is being held Monday, however the winners will not be announced until next week, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

Winners will be announced daily on the Ohio Vax 2 Schools’ Instagram and Twitter beginning on Nov. 29 through Dec. 3

“Each day next week, 30 winners will be announced at approximately 3:30 p.m.,” an ODH spokeswoman said Monday.

The program’s prizes include 150, $10,000 scholarships and five $100,000 grand prize scholarships.

The grand prizes will be announced during the lottery broadcast at 7:29 p.m. on Dec. 3, which airs on WHIO-TV.

Ohioans, ages 5 to 25, who have received at least one dose of a vaccine are eligible for the program.

There are two additional deadlines for the drawings if an eligible Ohioan missed Sunday’s deadline. Anyone eligible that registered by Nov. 28 will be eligible for 75, $10,000 scholarships and the grand prize drawings. Those eligible that miss the Nov. 28 deadline can register by Dec. 1 to be eligible for the grand prize drawing.
