DAYTON — A pizza restaurant located in Dayton has spent the day spreading cheer throughout the city one slice of pizza at a time.
The Pizza Bandit, located on E 4th. St., has been sending pizza to local businesses and essentially creating a “Citywide Pizza Party.”
According to Brian Johnson, an employee at the Pizza Bandit, it all started on Wednesday when someone anonymously sent a pizza to the Barrel House Taproom.
Then the next day, a pizza was anonymously sent to Omega Music.
“Today, and yesterday, it kind of spiraled. One person has bought more than 30-35 pizzas for local businesses at this point, and we have about 40 more to give out over the next week,” Johnson said.
As of right now, more than 50 pizzas have been donated.
Johnson says some people are buying pizzas for friends, and others are buying in bulk and telling them to send them out to any businesses that need them.

The Pizza Bandit says they want to get every business involved, and if someone buys a pizza they will match it with another pizza to a different local restaurant.
They will be covering most of the downtown businesses, and they have even received a few specific requests to small businesses in suburbs and neighborhoods.
“Someone was trying to support us and another business, and then for us to be able to support even more businesses by matching pizzas is a really good feeling,” Johnson said.
The Pizza Bandit will be matching pizzas today and tomorrow, but are anticipating people to continue donating.
A post on their Facebook page says “To purchase a pizza for a business just go to iampizzabandit.com and either buy a whole cheese pizza or whatever pizza you think they would like and put the name of the business and any other details in the special instructions!”
