Dayton Community Blood Center hold ‘World Blood Donor Blood Drive’ today

DAYTON — Today the Dayton Community Blood Center is holding a World Blood Donor Blood Drive.

The CBC says they faced a severe blood shortage after the Memorial Day holiday period. They reported struggling to average the 300 donors per day necessary to supply area hospitals.

The event will be held from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Dayton Community Blood Center on South Main Street.

Those who register to donate will have the opportunity to receive a $10 Krogers gift card or a free Kings Island ticket, while supplies last. Donors will also receive a t-shirt that reads, “Blood Donors are the GOAT - Greatest of All Time”
