3 injured in crash involving tractor, minivan in Darke County Wednesday

DARKE COUNTY — Three people were transported to area hospitals after a crash between a minivan and a tractor in Darke County Wednesday evening.

The crash was reported in the area of the 7000 block of Auld Road near Bradford, around 6 p.m.

According to a press release from the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, Glen Sell, 78 from Bradford, and passenger Jennifer Sell were traveling north on Auld Road in a Chrysler Town and Country van.

While traveling on Auld Rd. Sell attempted to pass a John Deere tractor driven by Larry Garber of Gettysburg.

Sell struck the rear of the tractor, and both vehicles were forced off the right side of the roadway.

Garber was transported by Gettysburg Rescue to Wayne ER and then later taken to Miami Valley Hospital, where his condition is unknown.

Glen Sell was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center by Bradford Rescue with unknown injuries.

Gettysburg Rescue freed Jennifer Sell by mechanical means. She was taken to Wayne ER with minor injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
