DAYTON — The teen killed in a shooting in Dayton over the weekend has been identified.

James Thomas Jr., 16, was identified on Tuesday by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

News Center 7 previously reported that Dayton Police and the Montgomery County Coroner were called to the 900 block of Sherwood Ave on reports of a shooting around 12:57 a.m. Saturday.
The Dayton Police Department is investigating the shooting.
