DAYTON — The City of Dayton will be holding several events to commemorate Doctor Martin Luther King, Junior on Monday, according to the MLK Dayton website.

There will be a memorial march for Dr. King starting at 9:30 a.m. Crowds are be asked to assemble at 1323 W. Third Street and the march will end at Sinclair Community College.

The Greater Dayton RTA will be offering free rides system-wide Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day to allow people to attend various events celebrating Dr. King’s legacy, according to an RTA spokesperson.
A free shuttle service will be provided by RTA from Sinclair College Building 12 on Perry Street back to the Drew Health Center from 10 a.m. until noon Monday.
RTA will run its regular service hours on Martin Luther King Jr. Day but said there could be service delays and rolling route deviations due to the celebrations, according to an RTA spokesperson.

Other MLK events in Dayton include a Martin Luther King youth celebration at Sinclair Community College after the march, MLK Dayton said on its website. The exact time was not announced.
The Neon will show the 2022 movie Till at 11 a.m.
There will also be an MLK Banquet at 6 p.m. at the Royal Banquet and Events Center at the 4400 block of Troy Pike. For more information about tickets, click here.
