Champaign County Sheriff’s Office asking for help identifying suspect accused of vehicle break-ins

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY — The Champaign County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help identifying a suspect involved in a series of thefts from vehicles.

The thefts occurred on Harper Road, on Saturday, October 9th, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

The suspect used a stolen credit card stolen from one of the cars at a business in Clark County, the release said.

The sheriff’s office released photos of a male using the stolen credit card at the speedway on Urbana Road in Clark County around 5:20 a.m.

The suspect was accompanied by another male, and they were driving a white car, the sheriff’s office said.
