UNION TOWNSHIP — Two people have died after a two-vehicle crash in Union Township Monday evening.
Just after 7 p.m. Danny Dunn, 72 of Germantown, was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck north on state Route 73 just south of McCoy Road.
Eric Thompson, 48, of Hillsboro, was driving a 2009 Mercury Mariner SUV south on SR 73 when Dunn traveled into Thompson’s lane of travel.

The two vehicles collided, and both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The state patrol says this is the 12th fatal crash in Clinton County this year.
15 lives have been lost this year to fatal crashes, with seven of those crashes involving vehicles traveling left of center.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol would like to remind all drivers to drive sober, avoid distracted driving, and always wear your seatbelt.
