DAYTON — It’s dog license time, and the 2019 tags are on sale through Jan. 31 in Montgomery County.
The licenses must be renewed annually.
Owners whose dogs are spayed or neutered will pay a $20 license fee, and owners whose dogs have not been altered will pay $24 for each dog tag.
Dog license fees fund the county Animal Resource Center’s efforts to care for stray and lost animals, spay and neuter every animal that leaves the shelter as an adopted pet, and provide animal control services throughout the county.
Licenses can be purchased online at www.mcohio.org/dogs, at the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center and county Auditor Karl Keith’s Office. They also are available at more than 30 locations, including:
Brookville Animal Hospital, Brubaker Grain, city of Centerville, city of Englewood, Englewood Animal Hospital, Farmersville Vet Clinic, city of Germantown, Germantown Animal Health Center, city of Huber Heights, Humane Society of Greater Dayton, Kettering Animal Control, Kettering Animal Hospital, Miami Twp., city of Moraine, Northmont Animal Clinic, city of Oakwood, Old Troy Pike Veterinary Clinic, Pet Supplies Plus, PetValu, Robyn’s Nest Animal Rescue, Shiloh Animal Hospital and SICSA.
