2 outdoor warning sirens in Washington Twp. not working

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — Washington Township officials are working to fix two outdoor warning sirens that aren’t working.

According to a social media post from the Washington Twp. Fire Department, Monday’s monthly test of the sirens indicated that they are not in working order.

One is located near Driscoll Elementary in the northern portion of the township off Whipp Road, and the other is located near Schoolhouse Park in the southern portion of the township on Nutt Road.

“We are currently waiting for parts to fix both sirens,” the post said.

Severe storms are expected to develop into the afternoon and evening on Wednesday.

“Residents should stay informed of potential weather events through alerts on their phone, local news, and radio,” the post said.
