1 arrested after OVI crash in Darke Co. Sunday

PALESTINE — Police have arrested one man after a crash in Palestine Sunday night.

The Darke County Sheriff’s Office issued a release saying crews responded to a crash in the 300 block of North Main Street around 9:19 p.m.

Initial investigations found a red 2002 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Jason Perdue, 51, of Greenville, was traveling north on N. Main St.

Perdue lost control of the car, drove off the road, and hit a utility pole.

Medics treated Perdue’s wounds at the scene.

He was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the release.

Perdue was charged with OVI and Failure to Maintain Control of his vehicle.

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
