How Montgomery County residents can stay informed on emergency weather updates

MONTGOMERY COUNTY — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to stay up to date with weather conditions by calling the Snow Emergency Line, rather than the Regional Dispatch Center.

Residents looking for updates regarding road conditions and snow emergencies can call the Snow Emergency Line at 937-496-7669, according to Sheriff Rob Streck with Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).

Sheriff Streck will issue a snow emergency as necessary for Montgomery County, and the Snow Emergency Line will stay up to date on if or when an emergency is issued.

Avoid unnecessary trips during the storm to allow room for road crews to work, MCSO said. If you need to travel, it is best to give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination.

Information regarding snow emergency levels or updates regarding the storm can be found on the MCSO social media pages and their website.
