Tennessee homicide suspect on ‘most wanted’ list arrested in Dayton

DAYTON — A man who was on a “most wanted” list for a homicide in Tennessee was located and arrested in Dayton early Sunday morning, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Billy Jay Randolph, 48, was arrested by Dayton police and booked into the Montgomery County Jail around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, according to online jail records.

On Tuesday, Randolph was listed as a “most wanted” suspect by the TBI for his alleged role in a homicide in Campbell County, Tennessee, located just north of Knoxville.

Additional details about the crime, and Randolph’s connections to the area were not immediately known.
