Police investigate reports of person stabbed in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD — Police and medics are investigating a report of a person stabbed at a house Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the 100 block of South Western Avenue around 7:55 a.m. after a victim reported being stabbed in the leg, police scanner traffic indicates.

The condition of the victim wasn’t immediately known.

Initial reports indicate one person has been detained at the scene.
