SPRINGFIELD — A man is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Springfield Monday morning.

Police officers and medics were dispatched around 2 a.m. to the 1800 block of E. Main Street on initial reports of a pedestrian strike, Springfield Police told News Center 7.
Medics transported the victim to Springfield Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries and will be taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital.
News Center 7 is working to learn what led to the crash and the victim’s condition.
