KETTERING — The Kettering Police Department is asking residents and local businesses to register their security cameras with the department to help provide the department with information that will help solve crime.
Police would use the information to reach out to those who have registered if a suspected crime in their area may have been captured on video.
Kettering police said there are instances where home security camera videos have helped police gather critical information about crimes and cases they are working on.
