A Trotwood Middle School student suffered injuries after she was allegedly attacked by another male student who moments earlier allegedly cut a lock of her hair in class.
The 14-year-old girl was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital for treatment of a laceration on her head.
Her mother tells us that doctors advised her daughter suffered a concussion as well.
According to the victim, she was sitting in class and noticed other students laughing around her. She said the male student sitting behind her had cut some of her hair and laid it across his lap.
The girl said she slapped him and he retaliated, picking her up and slamming her into a table, which ripped the girl’s sweatshirt and caused the cut to her head.
Trotwood-Madison Schools Superintendent Kevin Bell acknowledged there was an incident that the district is investigating, but he declined to provide details of what happened.
Bell did say the potential punishment would be suspension.
Trotwood police took a report on the incident and they are investigating.
