Trotwood PD releases surveillance of bank robbery

Police in Trotwood released surveillance video and information about the Sept. 17 robbery at River Valley Credit Union, 5130 Salem Ave.

The male and female robbers entered the bank and handed a note to the teller demanding money, according to the release.

The female displayed a knife as the teller gathered cash and handed it over, according to the release.

Cash in hand, the pair ran out of the bank toward Covenant House Drive where police believe they got into a waiting vehicle.

The suspects ran away from the River Valley Credit Union on Salem Avenue after robbing it and a K-9 unit brought to the scene could not pick up a scent, police said.

FIRST REPORT

Police have been dispatched on a report of an armed robbery at the River Valley Credit Union, in the 5100 block of Salem Avenue.

We’re hearing the invaders were a woman armed with a long knife and a man. The robbery was reported about 3:48 p.m.
