Traffic clear on I-675 ramp to SB I-75

The Interstate 675 ramp to southbound Interstate 75 is now clear after a car fire this evening temporarily blocked traffic.

The red four-door sedan caught fire around 5:45 p.m. and pulled onto the far right shoulder of the two-lane ramp. The fire was quickly extinguished by township firefighters.

The ramp was momentarily shut down, backing up traffic on I-675. The left lane of the ramp later reopenend, but traffic was slow as Miami Twp. police remained on scene.

A wrecker from Sandy's Towing towed the vehicle from the scene, which was cleared at 6:23 p.m. and all lanes open.
