A woman reported her wallet was stolen Saturday while she was dining at Panera Bread, 1203 Brown St., in Dayton.
The 72-year-old victim told police her wallet was inside her purse, which was hanging on the back of her chair, according to the Dayton police report.
The woman's friend who was dining with her said the thief may have been a female who was sitting near the purse at an adjacent table, according to the report.
The woman had already reported the robbery to her bank and was in the process of canceling her credit cards, according to the report.
