TROY — UPDATE @ 11:34 a.m.

Three suspects are in custody and a fourth is sought after police say they broke into a room at the America’s Best Value Inn in Troy and pistol-whipped a man.

Police say the suspects and the victim — who suffered a head wound — all knew each other.

In jail are Chase Adams, 18, of Vandalia and Todd Norris, 20, of Troy. A 17-year-old from Troy also is in custody. Police are looking for a 22-year-old from Dayton.

All four have been charged with aggravated robbery.

The suspects broke into the room to steal marijuana, but left empty-handed. They did take the victim’s cellphone.

The incident remains under investigation.

Troy police are looking for an additional suspect in a motel robbery after one person was taken to jail.

Troy police and a K9 from the Miami County Sheriff’s department were searching the area of StonyRidge Avenue for a suspect related to the robbery.

Two people that were taken in for questioning earlier in the morning were released and returned to the apartment complex. One person has been arrested.
