Police still looking for man who stabbed mother with screwdriver

Police are looking for a man considered armed and dangerous who is suspected of stabbing his mother with a screwdriver this morning.

Jason McInturff, 37, is suspected of stabbing a woman this morning on Corinth Boulevard. Police said the victim was found bleeding profusely from the head from multiple puncture wounds. She was taken to Miami Valley Hospital and is expected to survive.

McInturff is believed to have started digging a grave for his mother nearby. Police said there was “freshly disturbed dirt.”

McInturff may be driving a stolen two-door tan Cavalier with license plate EYZ5414. He has family members in Englewood and Trotwood and was recently arrested in Greene County.

Anyone who sees the suspect or vehicle is asked to contact Dayton police or their local law enforcement.

UPDATE @ 11:30 a.m.

Dayton police said a man stabbed a woman with a screwdriver while she was warming up her car along Corinth Boulevard.

The man then reportedly began digging a grave in the backyard, according to officers, before leaving the scene and driving away.

Officers are still currently looking for the man.

Dayton police have responded to a home in the 4400 block of Corinth Boulevard.

There were reports of a woman stabbed at the location. Our crews on the scene report seeing at least 4 police vehicles along with a CSI vehicle on the scene.
