Miami Twp. police name suspect in 2013 slaying

Miami Twp. police have named a suspect in the January 2013 slaying of Terrance Williams, who was shot in an apartment on Eastbrook Drive and died later at a hospital.

Detectives on Wednesday afternoon released a wanted poster for Emanuel Belton on a charge of aggravated murder.

Belton is described as armed and dangerous and has been known to carry a weapon, according to police.

Police have called a news conference for early next week, where more information is to be released.

Williams, 44, died at Miami Valley Hospital after he was shot multiple times in an apartment in the 9300 block of Eastbrook Drive.

At the time, police said the apartment was Williams's fiancee's and her three children. Twins, 12, and a 10-year-old were in the apartment when the shooting happened, but may not have seen it, police said.

The woman called police to report the shooting.
