2 men who run away from Dayton prison facility charged with escape

DAYTON — Two of three men accused of running away from a Dayton prison facility in December were indicted Thursday on felony escape charges.

Jessie Childers, 24, and Cody Eichhorn, 26, will be arraigned March 21 on the escape charge in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.

They are accused of escaping on Dec. 30 from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction’s MonDay Community Correctional Institution at 1951 S. Gettysburg Ave. The residential treatment program diverts drug abusers and other lower-level felony offenders from regular prison.
