A narcotics complaint led police to a drug bust at an Extended Stay America in Butler Twp.
Police were called Monday to Extended Stay America, located at 6688 Miller Lane, after housekeeping staff found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in a room, said Butler Twp. police Chief John L. Cresie in a release.
“The investigation revealed a guest in the room had quickly loaded three duffel bags of items from the room and taken them to a car in the parking lot,” Cresie said in the release.
A search warrant was obtained for the car and other property, and officers recovered about 39 pounds of marijuana, nearly $7,000 cash and a firearm, Cresie said.
The investigation is ongoing and the case will be presented to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office to review for multiple charges. No formal charges have been filed, and the names of the suspects are not being released, Cresie said.
