2 charged with stealing military Humvee from Ohio National Guard

The Ohio State Highway Patrol and FBI arrested two Ohio men today in the March theft of a military Humvee from the Ohio National Guard Armory in Stow.

Austin Bollinger of Masury and Daniel Thompson of Girard were arrested after they were indicted through the Northern District of Ohio, Eastern District.

The Humvee was stolen between March 17 and March 18. The suspects cut through a chain-link fence and took the Humvee from a secured area. The Humvee was locked, but the suspects disabled the locking mechanism and drove the vehicle off the premises, according to the highway patrol.

The Humvee was found partially disassembled in the garage of a vacant house in Brookfield.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional suspects and charges are expected, troopers said.
