Power restored to Greene County DP&L customers

UPDATE @ 11:03 p.m.:

DP&L crews have restored power to their customers in Greene County after a breaker issue at a substation caused more than 8,300 outages Sunday evening.

UPDATE @ 6:28 p.m.:

The outage that left over 8,300 DP&L customers without power was caused by a breaker issue at a DP&L substation on Colonel Glenn that serves a big portion of Greene County, DP&L spokeswoman MaryAnn Kabel said.

DP&L crews are addressing the issue and they anticipate power to be restored to all customers this evening.

UPDATE @ 5:25 p.m:

Crews with DP&L are still investigating the cause of the outages in the Beavercreek area, DP&L spokeswoman MaryAnn Kabel said.

The Fairfield Commons Mall has lost power in the outage as well as parts of the area near The Greene.

We will be working with DP&L to receive updates as they learn more.

UPDATE @ 5 p.m.:

DP&L outages in Greene County has reached over 8,300, according to the outage map.

We have reached out to DP&L to learn more about the outage and we will update with new information.

INITIAL REPORT:

Over 3,900 Dayton Power and Light customers are currently without power in Greene County.
