Our news partners at the Austin Statesman report one person is dead and several others were shot in what police described as an active shooter situation.
At least three people were transported to area hospitals, the paper reports.
Austin Police have tweeted out an update, saying the incident was a result of separate shootings in the same area, and both scenes are secure at this time.
